Got Me a Kindle for Christmas
Got me a Kindle for Christmas. I had stopped reading books. First, because it was because I was holding the books farther and farther away. So, I finally got smart enough to see the eye doctor this summer. He told me, ‘Duh Dude, You are getting old!’ Okay, he said it nicer and more of medical way of doing it, but that’s how it fell out. Then I could never get use not to the reading glasses. I’m not vain because I got plenty of gray hair now, but I couldn’t get comfortable or I would leave the glasses at home and so on and so forth…
So, my wise wise wife Sherry got me a Kindle for Christmas, and I can change the font at my leisure. Bigger…Smaller…That simple act…That brilliant tool…That’s all it took. Now I am reading.
My daughter, who is home for Christmas (yeah!) accidentally bought American Gods by Neil Gaiman when she was playing with it (looking at it). And instead of erasing it, I am a believer in serendipity, I told her no worries, and that is the first book that I am fated to read on my new Kindle.
Thanks to my wife, to my daughter, to Amazon, to my failing eyes, I am reading again.
Triathlon Videoa Made Me Laugh
Ran a 10k yesterday (Rudolph’s Revenge). I am happy with my time 1:08, and I ended up beating alot of guys younger than me.
Also this Ad for Triathlons made me laugh:
One More Day Until the Big Lizard
Nothing says Christmas like Godzilla. One more day until he arrives :)

When a Teacher Gives Up
I have given up on a group of my students. There are only two days left in the semester and I have given up. I usually don’t write about my day job (I’m an Athletic Director and a PE Teacher), but there is a group, and I don’t care if I ever see them again. Sometimes teachers and classes are not a good mix, and this is one of those times. So, with two days left, I have given up and me and this class will make it through until Christmas break, and then when I come back there will be a new class in their place.
