Okay, I have had two big changes in my life this year, and neither of these changes was expected. First I was told I should blog about my experience with the Vibram Fivefinger. If you don’t what that is, you’re not alone.

The first thing that I have learned about the Fivefingers is they take some getting used to, and I don’t think I am ready to run a marathon in them. I have run eighteen miles in them two weeks ago, and boy did I get some blisters after about twelve miles. I did wear them in a 7K race, and they worked well for the short distance. I will train in them for the shorter distance training runs. So I will try to blog about them here.

Also I have started being a vegetarian. I have bee doing it for two week, and for the most part I have been successful. I am changing the way I am eating for my running. So I think I will blog about that also. I have eating meat once, since then, it was steak, I like steak. For the most part though it has been easier than I thought trying to be a vegetarian, but we’ll see if I can keep it up.
