Taking My Daugther to the Airport and Movies
Have had a nice Thanksgiving weekend. Am sitting here waiting to take my daughter to the airport. It was nice seeing her. Also, besides the turkey, I ran a 4 mile race on Thursday, and over the break I saw three movies: ‘The Blind Side, An Education, and New Moon.’ Each was different, but I liked each, but An Education was the best written out of the three. That Nick Hornby guy can write. ‘The Blind Side’ was enjoyable and I liked most of it, but there is something that bothered me about it. Finally there’s ‘New Moon’ I haven’t read any of the books or seen the previous movie, but it was a movie that didn’t bother me, but there was a large part of the movie where nothing was taking place.
Not Doing Much on Thanksgiving Break
Should be writing, but I am not. Should be working on my podcast, but I am not. My daughter came home for Thanksgiving and it has been nice seeing her. Monday back to school, and I am going to be busy.
Working Updates
I’m writing new stuff. I’ve just completed my third short story in two weeks, and hopefully some of it will go on the Mad Cow Books Podcast. Last week after some technical difficulties I finally got Denise E Dora’s fine story, “View from the Floor” up, and on November 19th there will be a great poem, “You’re a Stain” by Michael Phillips that was first published in Weird Tales. It’s a good one so please listen and enjoy.
Episode 5 of the Mad Cow Books Podcast
There is a new episode of the Mad Cow Books Podcast
And there is fine fiction by Wayne Faust, ‘Waiting for the Next Move.’ Please enjoy.
