Georgetown to Idaho Springs Half Marathon

Photo Courtsey of Runner Edge of the Rockies

Photo from the Georgetown to Idaho Springs Half-Marathon. It was a good race and it starts at 9,200 ft. I think I set a personal record for this race by 10 minutes. I was having fun.

What a great book. It was nice to read about a writer who is also a marathon runner and a writer. Keep me going through the whole book. Can’t wait to read something else by him.

34th Annual La Sportiva Vail Hill Climb

Here is a photo from the race I ran at Vail on July 3rd. This was a really hard, and it finish line was at 10, 500 ft. I am hoping to able to run this race again next year.

Louisville Half-Marathon 2010

Yesterday, I got to run the Taste of Louisville Half-Marathon. It was a fun race, and because it was its first year there weren’t that many runners. Maybe 40 runners for the half-marathons in all. This race I decided to keep as hydrated as possible and even carried a bottle of Gatorade for the first four miles. I think it helped. Right now I’ll take a few days off from running, and my next race will be on July 3rd in Vail: 34th Annual La Sportiva Vail Hill Climb. Seven and a half miles to the top of Vail Ski Resort.

Colorado Marathon 2010

Okay, last week I ran the Colorado Marathon. It is a beautiful run from the Poudre River canyon above Ft. Collins down into the city itself. Fist, I have to say that I am not happy with my finish time (grumble…), but I did set a personal record for the race and can’t wait to start my training again.
Next Race: Chicago Marathon in October

Poudre River

Finally, I finished the race. It was 26.2 miles and it was a hard run. It got hot and I suffered a little heat exhaustion the next day.

But I have finally gotten a chance to recover and to think, and I am now happy that I was able to finish two marathons, and I am humble to think that I have finished two long races.
